When I finally managed to buy the Dali 'pack' for the Hipstamatic app I hadn't realised that all the money raised was going to the Salvador Dali museum in St Petersberg (one of the best galeries I've ever been to.) there's also a contest;

For this traditional gallery a la Salon des Hipsta we are challenging artists to tap into their inner-Salvador! Your best surreal image could make you a bonafide artist. Filmmaker and visual artist John Waters will curate a collection chosen from the very best submissions. Contest finalists will be projected on the Dali Museum's new building in St. Petersburg Florida during Its grand gala opening the evening of 1.11.11. The top 9 images will be exhibited inside The Museum and the Best of Show winner will be flown in for the opening event. To be considered for the exhibition and Best of Show, images need to use the Salvador 84 Lens or the Salvador Dream Film.
