Interdependence

The Illusory Nature of Phenomena

When we look around us, we can see that nothing exists in isolation, which is another way of saying that everything is interdependent. Everything depends upon an infinite number of causes and conditions to come into being, arise, and fall away moment by moment. Because they are interdependent, things don’t possess a true existence of their own. For instance, how could we separate a flower from the many causes and conditions that produce it —water, soil, sun, air, seed, and so forth? Can we find a flower that exists independently from these causes and conditions? Everything is so intricately connected, it is hard to point to where one thing starts and another ends. This is what is meant by the illusory or empty nature of phenomena.

be kind...

People need to see that if you hurt another person, you hurt yourself, and if you hurt yourself, you're hurting another person. And then to begin to see that we are not in this alone. We are in this together. For me, that's where the true morality comes from.

Lost...the missing image.

P605

What's going on posterous??

Lost...

I've lost three days, has anyone seen them?

I know they were here somewhere, but they remain elusive, just out of my grasp...I'm lost in a fog of fatigue and sadness for people I care about. Why do sad things arrive in clusters? Is it all that negative energy pulling selfish behaviour out and lowering life forces? I'm wandering far off the subject I came here for...

Humble apple-ogies to all those awaiting replies to tweets, mails, comments and the like. I had a small meltdown when the appointment for my gastroscope arrived which coincided with a whole host of 'stuff' and I've been offline for three days...and counting.
Normal service will hopefully resume when the fog clears.
Wishing all a smooth and straight path through the week ahead.
Sx

Lost...

I seem to have lost three days so far...has anyone seen them?
Humble apple-ogies to peeps waiting for replies to mails or tweets or comments...I'm lost in a fog of fatigue and sad news. Trying without success to understand the actions of others...
A little over a week to go until my gastroscope. Whoopee! No news on gallbladder extraction date though.

Murdoch - The consultation process ends on Monday.

Dear Secretary of State,

I am deeply concerned that News Corporation's bid for full ownership of BSkyB would harm our democracy. I strongly urge you to reject it.

The proposals that you are consulting on would undermine our media quality and diversity.
The temporary safeguards you propose for News Corporation are weak and can be easily circumvented.

Also News Corporation would still have strong control over Sky News through its shareholding, its financing and its control of satellite access

Rupert Murdoch has exploited his media power for political influence and opinion polls show that 9 out of 10 members of the public oppose his takeover of BSkyB.

I object to the proposed deal and call on you to immediately refer it to the Competition Commission.

Please.

Blue roses #art #digitalArt

P620

I usually put geometric art on to the items I print/get printed...but for some reason I wanted to see if I could do a design based on roses. I'll see what it looks like on a purse tomorrow.
Managed to leave the house and venture out into the glorious sunshine today. Nothing exciting; recycling and a few groceries.
Although I am red eyed and pink cheeked through fatigue, it was nice to manage to do it. #FFs will, alas, have to wait until the morrow. As will everything else...
Sleep well if you read this in the evening, may the sandman bring you uplifting visions. Have a glorious day with your muse beside you if it's the day...

Fluid Dreams of Fire #art

This image was, hopefully...enlarged with the Paintbook app for iPhone/iPad. I suspect I may have gone from too small to too large...?

Sand-untitled

Thanks for all the lovely tweets dear friends, I'll play catch up again tomorrow...stopping the NSAID is playing havoc with my Fibro sleep (:

Reaching out 1 and 2

I don't like green. There is, I've heard, a belief in Ireland that green should never be inside a house (as decor, furnishings and the like.) though sometimes my memory plays tricks on me...I do know that green has been an unlucky colour for me. If there is such a thing as luck...? And it's not a colour that I've ever been drawn to. So, mixed feelings about the first 'Pop Art' version.

Fluid motion, artista oil, shock my pic, photoFX ultra, picture show, crop suey...I think...in no particular order.

Bloodstream #iPad #art

I'm listening to an audio book about parasitic worms...and playing with fluid motion images.
My mind is mostly focused on the story, my gaze looking for shapes that seem right...
...it interests me to see what emerges without conscious intent.
