More beach photos and...

Here's a rag tag collection of some recent creations. I've not done much lately because I'm not very well and my muse goes quiet when she sees me hurting...
A couple of images from the beach photos I took on my birthday - a mixture of painted effects in Paint Mee and Artista Haiku and I *think* Pixlromatic.
The stationary shot is just Camera+
The sketch for a logo for the Fibro site I wrangle ( www.FibroBites.com ) was drawn with a bamboo stylus and Inkpad on my iPad.
...the birthday message to a cousin was made using a hoopy printing app on the iPad called...erm, damn I'll have to come back and add the name when I've checked.

Take your #art pen for a walk...

If you recall, the week before last I wrote about the free creative course being run by Kate England at MarmaladeMoon.com
One of the tasks was to write a word and hide it with doodles that ran to the edge of the page (I'm simplifying here, you need to sign up for more info ;)
I can't always hold a pen so though I managed to begin a doodle I wasn't able to finish filling it in...so I did another one with my finger on my iPad using Art Rage. I filled it in with Meritum Paint.

It reminded me of an art activity that I used to do with children - taking your pencil for a walk across the paper, the pencil never leaves the surface and you must keep it moving. Then you fill in the spaces in between with patterns. Some of the results were amazing and it tells you a lot about the person doing the drawing...and there are a variety of adaptations possible.

Anyway - layering was the next step. Photographing the doodle and adding to it, looking at it in different ways... I've kind of gone my own route here because I'm struggling with the heat and energy is almost non-existant.

Coincidentally I'd doodled, photographed and apped sketches earlier last month...so the images with this post are -
The ink pen doodle after apping,
The digital doodle after apping,
And some of the stages along the way including two of my earlier photographed doodles.

Doodle - red and gold

Another metallic doodle - and then I played with it in Photo Studio and I actually had the presence of mind to save as a preset any group of effects that I liked this time. Yay me ;)
Then of course the water my photo obsession kicked in and...
It's a free app and I like what it does, but the file size is tiny. I'd pay for it if it would address that.
And then lastly for no apparent reason I can come up with, here's a screen shot of my phone with one of my pink wallpapers...I like pink. Never used to. Odd that.

It's a tad disorientating going from a photo of a home screen shot to the home screen...most odd. Try it...

A doodle for @karinSF #gratitude

P1059

Same method as the other art doodles - Art Rage on the iPad, but this time I chose metallic colour to fill the spaces in between...consequently the Percolated version looks bit...hinky. That will go to the big art waste basket in the sky.

I drew this whilst watching 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1' during the tense bits...yes I've read the book so I know what happens, but I still don't really cope with 'tense bits' at the moment. Though I shall leave you with a cliff hanger...will I manage to be well enough to get to the cinema to watch part two?

This is for @karinSF because she's a lovely friend.

A doodle for @whichsongtitle #art

P1004

An abstract art doodle to brighten your day, as a counterpoint to my introspection ;)

I think the title is "The Meeting Place" but I'm not sure...
Finger painted and drawn in Art Rage, given the circular treatment by Percolator.
I love colour...

#artRage doodle and some examples of #percolator app

Another doodle, drawn with the bamboo stylus and Art Rage on my iPad. Then I used percolator to make a variety of changes to the image and gathered then together with Diptic so you can see some of the options that Percolator has.
Not sure what order these will post in as I'm using the Posterous app...which hasn't been reducing the sizes of images like it should...

#ArtRage doodle plus #percolator

Today's Art Rage doodle & it's percolated partner.
I love this blue so much at the moment. Lifts the spirits...

Photo Artista - oil & haiku

In an attempt to get back to sleep, I've put the doodle through all of the Photo Artista apps - oil, sketch and haiku.
I confess that I processed the haiku one with Photoforge to increase the vibrancy...

Tiny planet doodle...

Last ones for today. But...I don't like them.
iDroste next I think...

Kaleidoscope Doodle

Only one of this is the original art rage doodle given the kaleidoscope edit. Ive also ended up with a collection of percolated kaleidoscopes...which I prefer. See, the one app rule is too tough...

Percolated Doodle

P933

I know nobody will believe me...but it's so hard to leave this alone...just one app. Extra fine rings.

#artRage Doodle

P900

I have returned to my very 'favouritest' drawing app - Art Rage. Continuing with the doodle theme as it's about all I'm fit for at the moment. I actually attempted a mind map today to try to figure out how to keep up with everything...but I'm no nearer a solution! I think the best thing would be for Fibro to cut me some slack, but there's a phrase about flying pigs that springs to mind...

A thought had as I finished this was - What if I put this through some apps? Just one at a time, not my usual oodles of processing with multiple apps. Just one at a time. So...
