Happy New Year

Wishing you all a year of good health, happiness and security. I look forward to continuing the creative journey with you in 2011. Heartfelt thanks to all those who've been so supportive this year, as I've taken some baby steps back to the creative path. Sx

Royal Sapphire

Fellow artist PMA Carlson has painted a delightful watercolour of the engagement ring Prince William has given his betrothed. I hope it brings them much more luck than it did his mother...sorry, I'm old fashioned enough to still be annoyed at Charles' disgraceful behaviour...

Anyway, I digress. Pat has created a range of items with this design on and they are available to purchase from her Zazzle store. This link takes you to see the items created. Well worth a look.

Heat Map Ice #ShockMyPic #iPhoneography

This really needs some text on it...when the brain is less foggy I'll add some. Any ideas??

Apologies...

Christmas + the weather + fibro = ArtyFibroGeek that's VERY behind with email, blogs, forums and um...everything. I'm so sorry if you're waiting for a response from me. Please don't take it personally, just mail/poke/ask me again ;0) I'm trying to catch up a little each day.
Right now, it's time for another map... Meh! 

dealing with mail...

I'm becoming slightly phobic about dealing with mail. Part of ths is to do with the fact that typing & writing hurt, but as to what else is causing it, I don't know...?

Anyway, one of Micheal Nobbs' pieces of advice about being sustainably creative is to celebrate and announce your successes, so -

I just got my 'Art to deal with' folder down from 156 messages to 87 (and no, I didn't just delete them all! Though I did delete some due to not knowing why on earth I'd filed them there in the first place.) Might not seem a big deal to anyone else. But it is to me.

I have got to say that I am loving this app...though it's not helping me get my Christmas cards written...

Collaborative project

You may recall a wee while ago @artbymimulux and I swapped photos and used them as the stimulus for a new piece of art.

This was sparked by a photo an artist friend of mimu's had posted on Facebook. mimu thought it would make a great stock photo...another Facebook friend agreed...she told me about it and I thought it sounded a great idea too and thus, thanks to another idea of mimu's the following idea was born;

A site for us to share our collaborations.

We'll take it in turns to provide a photograph for each challenge. Our first image is contributed by Sigrid, pop on over to Muses' Playground to see what each of us is going to be working with. (Well, here's a secret...we already started, so you shouldn't have to wait too long...)

Further information on each of the four artists involved is available on the site and there are links to each artist's website. As with all Posterous blogs you can get updates by RSS, posterous account or email. We're hoping that this will be fun...and not exclusive...

#artRage play

Art rage, Plastic bullet, Camera bag, PhotoFX...just mark making aimlessly, as I get to know a new app.

Opinions wanted...

A photographer friend has asked me to update his website...but I think it needs more than just updating...
So, before I give him my thoughts I'd welcome some others too. If you could take a quick peek & give me your first impressions I'd be very grateful.

Thanks lots.
