RIP Posterous...

Well, it happened didn't it? What we feared would occur when Twitter bought Posterous.

RIP posterous :(

So, I'm in the process of moving everything to a self hosted Wordpress site. No more bits n bobs in various places subject to unexpected changes. I've loved the whole Posterous experience and hope that the folks I follow here will leave links for me to follow like I'm doing now.

If you're not going to leave a post on your site with a new link - PLEASE let me know where you'll be with a comment below. Thank you.

Ah...this sucks.

Good luck to all my Posterous friends, hope I can still keep track of you.

Popsicolor #art app has had a major update :)

I've always loved this app (just as I adore the developer's other gem of creative effects 'Percolator') and it's just had a major update which makes it even more fab.
Lots more tweaks are possible, it's faster (blows my mind the processing power and coding that these apps must need to work so fast!) and as with Percolator you get effects not available in any other app.

Someone left a review complaining about drips and lack of control - it depends on how you hold your phone/pad because they are dependent on gravity ;)

Merry Christmas...

...and the brightest of blessings to all who read this.
Image

I am (as seems usual now) having a rough time. This week has been particularly challenging - I've annoyed myself by having a couple of mini meltdowns. (I'm supposed to cope, dammit)
It's hard to explain what living in constant body-wide pain is like and I'm actually quite happy that most people don't understand.
I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
I wish I could blog more about it, to try and explain - but typing is very slow and painful.

Apart from some dear 'real world' friends that keep me grounded and just the right side of sane, there are also some special online folks who keep me going. (Not an easy feat at the moment)
Extra special gratitude and heaps of love to;
@quietcdn and @mimuluxArt
If you're on Twitter, please follow them. They are a bright light in the darkness.
Special mentions also to this roll call of fabulous ones;
@trishaclarkin
@WakingDreamart
@chubachups
@ReadySetBlink
@marigold__
@GioiaAlbanoArt
@Carmen_Michele
@ploink
@detlef_c
@fennougri2009
@whichsongtitle
in no particular order. They can always be relied upon to have a kind and encouraging word and don't forget me even though I'm not online as much as I used to be, (would like to be)
There are bound to be precious souls I've neglected to mention, my memory is shockingly bad right now. Forgive me any glaring omissions.

I know I missed Thanksgiving which would have been the time to post this ;) but when I'm low I find it helps to count my blessings.

Wherever and whoever you are reading this - I hope that you can count your blessings as we hurtle toward the Winter solstice.
The world seems rather dark right now - but the light can always be found if we look for it.
I hope...

Wallpaper with Matisse #art quote

For some reason the Posterous app won't work any more...this is how it ends here I suppose. It's been glitchy for ages but I suspect Twitter will see no need to update it. Or am I being too cynical?
Here's the wallpaper the app decided not to post for some reason.
Can't get to a PC atm to delete the previous post and the app just crashes now.

Finally against all odds I've finished my postcard sized painting for the Twitter Art Exhibit in LA next month. Just hope she doesn't get lost in the Christmas post.

Photo Blog - and trees... #iphoneography

Over on my website six weeks ago, I started an iPhoneography challenge. I want to try and post a photo every week for 52 weeks.
Some weeks, there may be an old photo given a new treatment because of my Fibro body, my hope being that a little flexibility will help me to achieve the challenge. I need to feel like I can achieve something right now...

(I'm in the middle of a really bad flare, so über apologies for being so behind with correspondence and Twitter etc.)
Here are some of my recent photos - all taken during October in North Wales.
